Remedial Hebrew reading restarted in Haifa
In Haifa and the Krayot the Home Command has permitted schools to reopen and our remedial reading programmes have just begun again, after four and a half months' break. One such programme holds afternoon classes for 20 children in the Neve Yosef Community Centre in Haifa. We are proud to be sponsoring these small groups, where one-on-one reading tuition is given by the teacher and a volunteer to children from the lower grades.
Dinor School, a local elementary school nearby, has now asked us to immediately begin similar small group lessons for their weakest pupils.
Like those of their contemporaries with specific learning difficulties all over the country, these children still had not caught up after missing so much during the "Corona" epidemic and the current situation is holding them back once again.
