Immediately after Passover, we continued full force to give more and more students the opportunity to use our services Some students will want to continue during the summer break, and we already have a long waiting list for new students.

Our volunteers ran last week in the Jerusalem Marathon. They are collecting donations for our Talia Trust projects. Talia Trust is continuing to focus on supporting children with specific learning difficulties who have been traumatized and psychologically damaged as a result of the war raged on all our borders. School break amid war

Barrie Greenson Memorial Project
Many children are still living in trauma from the effects of the war, such as their f athers' prolonged absence in miluim (army reserve duty). Group therapy is possible when the children have shared concerns. Shirat HaYam school in Kiryat Yam has requested an extension to the group therapy programme that we funded last year. Learning at Shirat Yam School
More fun Chanukah preparations In the visit in December we saw one of our four Talia Trust groups at Shirat HaYam school. All 5 children in this Class 2 group were in attendance. They were very eager to interact with the specialist teacher who had very firm control. You can see in the photos how much the children enjoyed and were engaged in the activities of Chanukah preparations. They got positive feedback by the teacher. Nirim starts its day and the world waits outside
You CAN NOW watch the video showing how Nirim School started the school year. They had the video soundtrack of the famous song by Gidi Gov "A Matter of Time" which was the theme tune for the popular TV series "A Matter of Time" that took place at a high school. We cannot use the music because of copyright but you can listen to the song and see the lyrics in English now here . Vocational Learning
Talia Trust visited Yeadim High School in Kfar Bialik recently to meet the new principal, and the counsellors, to discuss progress of students who have received help from the Talia Trust. The school specialises in preparing students in vocational subjects. We were introduced to students in the bakery where they already make food for events. Thank you for your donations
Maurice writes: I am pleased to report that with the help of our wonderful supporters both in Israel and overseas, the Rosh Hashana Appeal has enabled us to release 41,000 shekels for a further 20 children to receive special individual assistance for 12 weeks at our Shar HaNegev Project. Their school counselors are hopeful that these lessons will ease them back into their regular classes after the traumatic period they have endured during the War. In the photos you can see: 1
