The remedial English teacher, Dorit, at the Givat Gonen Forest School in Jerusalem has written in her annual report about their Talia Trust project. She tells how the enthusiastic beginner second-language learners who also have specific learning difficulties, are at last starting to catch up with their peers. At each stage, there are some children whose level has improved enough to return to their home class.
She tells us, however, that as they get older, children are reluctant to leave the main class to learn in a small group setting. They often need gentle persuasion to join these special lessons that can best address their specific learning difficulties.
Donate now so that we can continue to help them.
